Bishop Steve Edmondson

After studying music for five years at the Harris Conservatory of Music in Rocky Mount, NC and upon graduating from high school, Steve enrolled at Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA to pursue a career in music education.  The experience, however, was short-lived after he was stricken with severe anxiety and depression.

Returning home broken and disillusioned, yet with a passion to know God’s will for his life, he began a journey that has carried him from brokenness to blessing.  Still desiring to use his musical talent for God’s glory, he became a part of a Southern Gospel singing group, “Born Again.”  During the course of his traveling over much of the North Carolina and parts of South Carolina and Virginia Steve began to recognize a greater call forming within him—the call to proclaim the gospel.

After accepting the call to preach, he furthered his education with the Berean School of the Bible, an affiliate with the Assemblies of God, Springfield, MO.  His ministrial journey has carried him across cultural and denominational lines.

He has served 18 years as an evangelist with both the Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Church of God.  Steve pioneered and pastored Calvary Temple Pentecostal Holiness, and has been serving in his current position at Middlesex Church of God since February 2003.

Pastor Edmondson is blessed by his wife, Frances, and their two sons, Steven and Israel.  He has a heart for our church and a vision for excellence in ministry.
